The Engage Fishing Alarm is a revolutionary way to detect bites by measuring line tension - this offers improvements over more traditional bite indication systems and in a way that has NEVER been possible before. No other alarms measure line tension in the same way - no line movement is needed for our Engage Alarms to detect a bite!
Why is this important? From our experience, and after many years of investigation, other alarms simply do not perform in certain fishing situations; for example, when snag fishing...if fishing 'locked up' and you have a lot of tension in your line, it can be some time before a roller wheel or vibration sensor actually detects a bite (as they are reliant on line movement). Engage Alarms measure line tension (as well as vibration) which means bites are detected much sooner and more reliably.
In addition, by utilising our technology (patent approved!), we are able to offer the following benefits:
- Improved robustness: by designing out the need for vibration sensors or roller wheels (both utilise sensitive technology that is easily damaged if dropped).
- Better water resistance: will survive full immersion in water!
- Built in snag ears.
- Made from carbon fibre: much stronger than plastic!
